The person who has adopted the process of facilitation is called a facilitator. A facilitator encourages students to discuss freely and share their thoughts without any hesitance. Every participant’s thoughts and opinions are accepted since no view or opinion is considered to be wrong or right.

The belief that the same goodness that is within him, is within the participants as well, is a belief that every facilitator carries. Having an open mind, or not having any pre-conceived ideas, opinions, views, judgements or notions is encouraged to adopt as a part of his preparation for facilitation of the session so that the facilitator does not impose or teach his own ideas and opinions.

A facilitator has to only ensure a joyous interaction coupled with a self-learning process for the participants. At no point in time, the energy of the participants goes down as the facilitator keeps them thinking using the tools that he is equipped with.

The aim of a facilitator is to kindle the goodness within the participants and create an awareness of the inter-connectedness and inter-dependence that each one shares with the society and nature.
